        i've spent some of this afternoon painting.  Progress is definitely being made on my 'self portrait'... but it's a slow progress!  And i'm now beginning to wonder what ever possessed me to start posting progression shots of it... what if i mess up now?  Arg.

        Anyway.. here's today's effort so far... obviously far from done - but i did manage to get in a hint of 'the vein'! (click thumbnail)
