August 28,  2004

So i've managed to skip most of August for updating.  Where does the time go?

Work continues on its daily grind... and not well.  One team mate was 'let go' aka walked out the door.  Apparently the gawds intervened with a little power outage on the very day my boss was supposed to meet the same fate.  And i continue to be frustrated.  And spending way too many hours either at work, or working at home.  In fact, i'm off to work this afternoon.  Again.

i'm getting really tired.  And due to the rather important events happening at the end of this month, which directly involve me, it looks like our vacation is getting delayed as well.

Do i sound like i'm whining?  i am!  A lot of people keep telling me to be patient.  That they've noticed my hard work and effort.  So unless we go through a major down-size i think i'm pretty safe - but no one has asked the question - do *i* want to stay there.  They just assume it's all okay.  Heh.

On the upside, i survived yet another birthday.  And Himself bought me a new digital camera!! Yay!  i've been having a blast with it, although i'm discovering that part of the old camera's problem was in fact the user.  Sigh.  But i'm learning.

And i've been painting a bit - squeezing in minutes whenever i have the time and energy.  A lot of people have liked the results of this one - and i have to admit i'm pretty pleased with her as well.

Okay, i've run out of words again.  i think may have to start asking Himself to tell me what to write about.  That ought to be interesting.

PS: Kesha, thanks for the quotes!

"Life should NOT be a journey to the grave with the intention of  arriving
safely in an attractive and well-preserved body, but rather to skid in
sideways, Champagne in one hand - strawberries in the other, body thoroughly used up, totally worn out and screaming "WOO HOO - What a Ride!"
