One more day and i get to stay home for 5.  i can hardly wait - i am getting close to exhaustion.  i didn't realize i'd be wearing so many 'hats' on this job.  If i'm not playing den mother then i'm running around finding the kidlets more toys (read office supplies) or ordering their catered meals or hotel rooms or booking meetings.  And doing status reports and inventory control.  And then taking the exec admin out for lunch 'cause that person needs a de-stress moment.  Come back from that to build a quick webpage, order more supplies, pour some water of some more fires and wrap presents for the needy family the department sponsored.

There's not a chance i'll get bored there.  Too many people with too many needs.  The pace is exhausting.  i suppose it doesn't help when i have to do things like last night, where Himself stayed up until midnight with me, working on address labels.  The two of us dropped like rocks in water into the bed.  i'd have cheerfully dropped the alarm clock into said water when it rang at 6:30 a.m.

Tomorrow will be equally crazy.  It's the potluck lunch day, whereupon about 50 or more people will bring in their goodies and i'm to organize the lot of it.  i didn't have to cook though.  The big guy baked two meat pies (tortierre sp?) that i don't expect will be on the table long - especially since i've been boasting about how good they are. This is one time i'm really glad He's the big bad dominant of the kitchen.

Oh yes, i almost forgot - it's the silent santa gift swap thing as well.  Calgon take me away!

We just got back from a high school christmas band concert - which was actually very good and a lot of fun.  The kids were excellent and it was pretty funny to see a tall gangly teenager is a band uniform (complete with kilt) playing the guitar like a Jimi Hendrix impression.  Blast from the past!

Okay - i'm struggling to stay awake.  One last note - i received an email from someone using netscape and that the text is white on white.  Not good - i tested it and it's happening to me as well.  i'm going to pay more attention in future - however, for the past entries i discovered if you run your mouse over the mystery text, then it becomes readable.

     Sometimes technology really bites!

One more day - and who knows?  Maybe even some play time.  If Himself can wake me up. :)
