       Oh look!  Two entries in one day - will wonders ever cease?

       i actually got home early today.  Really early.  In fact left work in the middle of the afternoon to work on a CBT for excel.  (No, that's not cock and ball torture! Trying to get through the *expletive* learning material is torture however.)

      i hate trying to learn that way.  i have a choice of listening to this really awful drudge-like voice drone on and on ("and then you do this, and then you do that"), or just reading the text.  It's excruciatingly slow.  my mind drifts off to some place else.  i get exasperated and click ahead.  i'm just much better if someone sits with me and guides me through things, or if i go poking around in the program by myself.  Ah well, i have to give the cd back on Monday, so my torture will be over.

     i tried to take a picture of the cat using Himself's small vid-cam.  Not very successful.  i tried to take a picture of my latest Picasso attempts and that wasn't very successful either, but better than the one of the cat at least.  The Picasso ability isn't coming along swimmingly either.

     Now i'm warring with myself as to whether i should put it here or not.  Himself wants me to do this eventually.  i think He's trying to build my confidence.  On the upside, if i put it here, then i can watch my progress for (hopeful!) improvement.  On the downside, someone might come into the house one day and say "hey i saw that on the internet!" at which point i may be outed to someone i'd rather not be outed to.  'Course then they'd be letting the proverbial cat out of the bag themselves!

     The other down side will be if i'm told not to quit my day job (heehee).  Well, since i'm not doing this to make money, but for a whole lot of other reasons, then i guess it's okay to post.

     Pretty bizarre how the different light affects it - i think the bottom one is truer to the real colour.  And the photos are very blurry.  Most people have not really liked it - their first comment is usually something that alludes to the fact that she's very pregnant.  i had one friend totally get the concept of what i was trying to get to (dark womb-like atmosphere) and another friend was quite taken with it.  

     But there you have it - proof positive that i am struggling with a brush and paint.
