March 29,  2003

i've had a headache every day for the last week.  It's starting to get a bit annoying - besides the unconsensual pain.  i think it's just my sinuses, and given the weather changes this week that would not be a surprising conclusion.  But the pain can stop any time now!

Life has been interesting.  The new position i want at work has finally been posted, and my odds of getting it are about 100%.  It'll be a lot of fun!  i'll be in the department that is mostly responsible for anything social - right there planning all the Christmas parties and promotional gigs - tradeshows and golf tournaments.  Perfect.  And it comes with a raise!

On the flip side, i got a call back for a second interview for position in a different company. This one has a few advantages - slightly  more money and staying in the city.  It's doing more of the same work i'm currently doing, but at a higher level.  And compared to the new opportunity, probably a lot more boring.  Which means deep in my heart, i don't really want it.  Sure was good for the ego to be wanted however!

So after the second interview (which was in the same building i'm currently working in) and after i proceeded to get lost yet again (walking underground downtown is an adventure - i'm somewhere close to St. Lawrence Market and Hockey Hall of Fame - but who can tell?) Himself picked me up to go to yet another play.  Although i've enjoyed many of them - seeing upwards of 70 in one year is even more than i can handle :-)  This one was a bit different however.

Romeo and Juliette, Remixed.  And boy was it ever!  Himself and i were at least 25 years older than most in the room - but that didn't stop us from enjoying it.   The energy was very high - the young dancers were gorgeous, and the transvestite nurse was a hoot!  my only regret was that having just come from a corporate interview, i definitely looked like a very uptight mom.  Gads, i even had proper pumps on.  In a fet environment i probably could have gotten away with that look - but not here.

Last night however, we did indeed hang out with some fellow kinksters.  We went to the premiere opening of the second season of Kink.  Yum.  After a hiatus from the public scene i had forgotten how much i enjoy being the voyeur.   And we found some of the EhBC crowd there as well.  Lots of kinky costumes, kinky people, kinky show to watch.  Yum again.  Himself had brought along the locking cuffs, so in spite of being dressed a bit properly (although i at least had on my laced boots and a denim skirt) wearing the cuffs helped me feel like i belonged - not like the previous night!  And i'd given Himself a couple sinus pills earlier, for His headache - the added benefit to being pain free was that He survived the smoky atmosphere long enough to really enjoy everything.  Bonus. He was also in His leather pants.  Did i ever mention how much i like His butt in those pants?

And it was because of this show that i think we've accidentally outted ourselves to the cleaning lady.  We had the invite sitting on top of the fridge (flat and out of sight so Himself's daughter wouldn't see.)  However, it seems the cleaning lady decided to clean the top of the fridge, since we found the invite neatly propped up against a glass canister, for all the world to see.  Oops.

Of course we could assume that she would think it was just something that came in the mail.  But given the fact that we had kept the invite, and the fact that our bedroom was cleaned VERY thoroughly this week, i'm siding on the idea that she "knows".  Especially since the brass collar was sitting in a box on the floor.  And naked sketches of black orchid were right beside it.  (The collar looks stunning on her by the way.) And a lamp that had fallen behind the blanket box is now all cleaned up and back in place.  Heh.  It will be interesting to see if she comes back next time.  Gads i don't want to lose that woman!

So tonight we are off to a birthday party which is being held in a dungeon.  Looks like we are back on a pervy roll again. Perfect :-)
