So Himself made sure that my day was perfect yesterday.  It was our last day together that we could be totally alone, during my vacation.  And it truly was perfect!

We started the day by sleeping in.  That's a rare treat for me since i always seem to wake up early.  We spent some time reading while snuggled under the blankets - He's already read the book i'm into so i asked Him if the main characters finally get around to sex or not, 'cause it's a really wonky book about vampires and humans who are part magicians and whatnot - not what i usually like to read.  He wouldn't tell me, so now i'm just compelled enough to want to keep plowing through it.  Drat.

Around noon, when normal people are considering what to have for lunch, Himself was considering which toys to use on me.  Yay!  He dragged out the toy bag (i mean that literally - that bag is heavy) and set things up in the bedroom, put a CD on, and plugged in the little space heater.  Minutes later i was tied up to headboard hardware in the new bed.  He hasn't tried out the footboard yet - that's still on the agenda, but considering all the things He decided to do to me, i wasn't noticing.  That man can do some pretty amazing things with His body  toys.  Yum.

We also learned just how nosey one kitten can be - the very one who decided at one point to perch on the footboard and watch what was going on.  i remember being coherent enough to say "Sir, you have company."  Too funny.

We had a light brunch together, then headed out to do some errands and make a stop at a new art gallery.  It's a co-op, which means there are several artists who belong to it, and that's very cool as there's a great variety of work to see.  We shopped for some wine and tried a new grocery store that i hadn't been in before.  The main food area is on the second floor of the building, so the escalators are actually moving ramps so that people can get the carts up and down.  What a weird sensation traveling on those!

After all that we came home and took a quick rest break, before going out to dinner at our favourite little Italian place.  i'm not a huge fan of pasta, but this place has the best veal and the proprietor pretty much decides for us what wine we are having and what Himself should be eating.   We also indulged in the most decadent chocolate mousse and the proprietor treated us to some sort of dessert liquor as well.

From there we went to an art show opening - the work presented having been done by my new art teacher.  Most of the work was florals, which neither Himself nor i have a great fondness of, so most of my enjoyment came from seeing how excited she was, and how pleased that i'd come to see.  She does do lots of figure work, which i'm hoping to see more of.

So by day's end, Himself and i were pretty tired - snuggling into bed together was a good, good thing.  And we both agreed that doing this at least once per month is an even better idea.

      Perfect.
