        Rant time.

After a very nice early morning bump (thank you Sir :-), to an appreciative feline audience, (well not really ... they felt the bed rock and headed for safer ground), and having sent Himself off to the wilds of the Canadian winter, i decided to do a bit of research on what's happening at the art gallery today.  i'm planning on taking a friend of my son's there, and wanted to be aware of what might be interesting.  So off i go to the website.

      What a mistake.

It's a very nicely done site - but totally useless for good information.  i mean it's all pretty and such - shows some upcoming events and etc.  But it doesn't give out contact information all that easily, and you have to click on a gazillion buttons before you finally find the adult art courses.  (The kid's classes pop up fairly quickly, which is a good thing.)

So after that little search i decided to find the phone numbers to ask some info about my membership.  Unfortunately i can't find my membership card.  i really have to stop switching purses and wallets so often - i have lost more things that way!

i did find the list of numbers, and i started dialing away, only to get the automated; "If you are looking for.. press 1.  For this and that, press 2."  And on and on.  Arg.  i think it might be easier to just hunt for the card - or pay the price of admission at the door.

Ah well, i did find the info on the adult courses interesting.  And apparently i can sign up for a 10 week, 3 hour session each, drawing for beginners class, for an almost affordable price.  i think this is something i'd like to do in the spring.  i could easily grab the streetcar and only have to beg nicely for a ride home from Himself.  (okay, so i'm a wiener when it comes to trying to get home by myself after dark, and there's virtually no parking at this place!)

Hmm.. i think it might be time for another paint and paddle session!  All those naked people running around in my living room is a good thing.  And i even have some design ideas i'd like to do.  Some of which include much rope.  All i have to do is find the volunteers who are willing to shed clothing in this weather.

In the guest book, someone left a message about painting hands.  And i really do want to get better at them.  i've attempted to draw my own hand holding a banana - which i've been given a lot of sexual-innuendo grief about *g* - and it's a work in progress still .. but hey, at least i continue to try!

Picasso, move over?  Please.  Err, okay ... never mind.

(i can't decide which view i want to keep it at:  the first one is the way it got painted, but i think it looks better the second way.. sort of like it's being offered, instead of just held... and i hate the background colour so far!)

Heh, today's word of the day fittingly describes my after-Christmas bank account.
