        Trying to post anything is interesting at the moment.  Molly (she kitty who has designated me as her human) has decided that no matter how many times i put her down, my lap is the only place to be tonight.  Which isn't that bad, except that i can't pull in closer to the keyboard, and i'm wearing the daycuffs.  And she thinks resting her chin against the chain, then looking up at me with kitty contentment in her eyes is a cool thing to do.

      We received a gift in the mail yesterday, from our friends who came to visit in November.  And what cool gifts!  Yummy chocolate and a funny bondage card, and a book all wrapped up in bondage as well.  i was so utterly charmed by it all that i didn't want to unwrap the book, but my curiosity got the better of me.  So i took pictures of the wrapping before i undid it.

      The title of the book is The Whippingham Papers (author Anonymous), and it's a Wordsworth Classic Erotica.  On the back it says;

      "Probably first published in 1888, this astonishing book is one of the curiosities of Victorian literature.  Outwardly, it is a collection of stories and verse about flagellation.  Where it differs from singular books of the period is that it contains unsigned verses by Algernon Charles Swinburne."

      It goes on to describe a bit further, but i've already had a bit of a glance at what's inside and it's marvelous!  i started reading a play about an all-girls school ... and i loved this part:

      Mrs. Birch:  Well, my fair unfortunate pupil - how do you like to be whipped?  (they were using a cane or switch on the bottom.)

      Miss Tickletouch:  Why to tell you the truth it seems during the operation almost too much to bear - but immediately after, it leaves a delightful glow which more than repays the momentary inconvenience.

      And the whole play goes on like that - all this proper prose and politeness while the young ladies are all lifting their skirts for a little bit of playing.  Too funny!

      Okay - off to bed - it's late and last night was later, but at least i get to work in the city tomorrow and can sleep longer.  Perfect.
